One of Black Library's earliest novels follows an ambitious Rogue Trader chasing power and fortune in the fringe worlds bordering the Eye of Terror. A parallel thread tracks two Space Marines, one a fervent servant of Khorne and the other an ancient Great Crusade warrior slowly succumbing to corruption. Written before much of the setting was codified, it is an eccentric, anything-goes vision of the warp's edge.
